Search company knowledge and inspect evidence
Search company knowledge in Cortex Atlas and inspect evidence within available sources and access.
Ask your administrator whether Search is enabled. Connecting an app alone does not enable it.
Try a scoped search
- Open Search and enter a distinctive phrase from records you can access.
- Use Connectors to narrow third-party results. Your organization's memory is always searched.
- Inspect result rows and any Degraded source status. Open an available destination and compare the source with the result.
- If an Answer is generated, inspect its numbered evidence references separately.
How search works
Connections, capture, indexing and access settings determine available records. Selecting a source does not grant access or guarantee every record is indexed/returned. Use Workplace connections for setup.
Inspect a result
A title/snippet can be an excerpt or summary, not a complete verbatim record. Follow an available destination to check it. Degraded reports restricted, failed or timed-out reads; a successful read can still return no matches. No match does not prove a record is deleted, denied or uncaptured.
Follow answer evidence
The Answer panel interprets its own cited evidence. A result is not automatically cited. Source and scope filters narrow results, not the Answer panel. Inspect each cited item and available reference; a link does not certify correctness or completeness.
Freshness and missing results
Check source dates and Degraded messages, retry failed reads, and investigate capture coverage. Neither a recent query nor the absence of a notice establishes complete/current coverage. A title without a usable reference may not be enough to verify a claim.
Search and context enrichment
Keep captured text separate from inferred meaning; a summary does not verify success. How Cortex organizes AI work explains provenance. Context-candidate collection associates context with activity without changing the model's prompt.
