Connect Fibery to Cortex
Read workspace entities through a dedicated account API key.
Fibery
Content and access
Account-visible non-system databases and entities. The account’s Space permissions determine access.
Set up Fibery
An admin connects this app for the Cortex organization. Grant access only to content appropriate for the whole organization.
What you need: a Fibery account that can create API keys, ideally a dedicated service account, and access to the Fibery workspace you want to connect.
- In Fibery, sign in as the account Cortex should read as. Use a dedicated service account rather than a personal account, so the connection does not depend on one person.
- Share with that account only the Spaces that are safe for the whole Cortex organization. The key can read everything the account can see.
- In Fibery, open Settings → API Keys and create a key. Fibery allows three keys per account.
- In Cortex, open Organization → Apps and add Fibery. Enter the Workspace URL, for example
yourcompany.fibery.io, and paste the key into API key. Once the URL is valid, Open API Keys in your workspace links straight to the key page. - Select Connect, then Test & preview. The preview shows the account, the number of Spaces and databases it can read, and recent entities.
Fibery scope and limits
Each read-only connection covers one Fibery workspace. Cortex reads every database the account can see, except Fibery's built-in system databases, and syncs changes every hour. The first sync covers entities changed in the last 90 days.
For each entity, Cortex stores its name, the text of its first rich-text field (usually its description), its comments, workflow state, assignee, and a link back to Fibery. Entities deleted in Fibery are removed after a later sync. To connect a different workspace, delete the connection and add a new one.
Manage this connection
After changing permissions in Fibery, return to Organization → Apps and run Test & preview. A preview is a limited sample of accessible content.
See the shared connection management guide for credential updates, reauthorization, and revocation. The complete Fibery procedure is also available in Workplace connections.
