Connect Notion to Cortex

Share pages with a Notion internal integration and choose which pages Cortex reads.

Notion

Content and access

Pages explicitly shared with the integration. Configure pages can narrow the selection further.

Set up Notion

An admin connects this app for the Cortex organization. Grant access only to content appropriate for the whole organization.

What you need: permission to create a Notion internal integration and to manage the pages it can read.

  1. In Notion, create an internal integration for the workspace.
  2. Enable the integration's Read content capability.
  3. Share pages with the integration. Choose only pages safe for the whole Cortex organization; sharing a parent also shares its children.
  4. Copy the integration token from Notion.
  5. In Cortex, open Organization → Apps, add Notion, and paste it into Internal integration token.
  6. Select Test & preview. The preview lists the pages the integration can access.

Choose which pages Cortex reads

Select Configure pages to open Configure Notion pages. Keep All pages shared with the integration, or choose Only selected pages to narrow it further. That list comes from the existing Notion connection, so run Test & preview first if it looks out of date.

Notion page access is the security boundary: Cortex reads only the pages shared with the integration. When access changes in Notion, return to Cortex and run Test & preview again to confirm what is visible.

Manage this connection

After changing permissions in Notion, return to Organization → Apps and run Test & preview. A preview is a limited sample of accessible content.

See the shared connection management guide for credential updates, reauthorization, and revocation. The complete Notion procedure is also available in Workplace connections.
